Commitment.

Commitment.

To some it's a scary word, to others it's the definition of life.

Today is my parents 21st wedding anniversary (wow, their old). As I get older I begin to realize how important their example is to my life. We've been through some crazy times as a family. Through all the ups and downs we've experienced, my parents have always remained committed. Sadly, this type of commitment goes against todays standard but my parents are an example of true love. I just want to commit today to thanking them for loving one another. For always supporting me and being an example of what a marriage should look like. I'm proud that they are my parents and I'm thankful that their bond is centered in Christ.

Thanks mom and dad for showing me that commitment is possible. Thanks for showing me that love is stronger than this world.

Love you guys!

Nice tribute to your parents, Shane. It isn't often that children realize what it has taken for their parents to stay together in today's world. I am very thankful to have your folks as our friends and know we can call on each other in times of need for prayer, support, and understanding.

Take care,
Jane

Shane, this Sept, my parents will be married 55 years! They were 17 and 15 when they got married. My dad became a believer right before I was born and has been a Godly example ever since. We (you and I) are truly blessed beyond measure to have the parents we have.

Now as you are starting a new life with Heather, (congratulations on your engagement!)think of the legacy you have been given to pass on to your future children.

Love you and am so proud of you,
Martha
